Photo competition Spring 2022
Thank you to all those who took part in our recent photograph competition. The entries from across Red Oaks and Orchid Vale were judged by the Year 10 winners of the Abbey Park competition and we had some lovely ones to choose from. These will be displayed in both schools.

The winners are as follows:

1st Prize:
Zachary – Nursery at Red Oaks
We feel this represented the brief very well. It shows relaxation and freedom and makes you think about the depths of the ocean. The horizon draws your eye in third of the way down through the photograph. We like the way the landscape draws all the different shades of blue from the sea in together.

Runner up:
Kamila – Nursery at Orchid Vale
We chose this as the runner-up as the composition is very striking and the central feature of the sculpture stands out in the middle of the photograph. The colours are very bold and we like the way this shows a part of North Swindon. This shows the links between our history and some other things are happening around the world at the moment.
