April 21 - 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson
This week (26.4.21) we have been doing activities around the story - 'What the Ladybird Heard'. The children have had the story read to them and they have watched it on you tube, sung it as a song along with Julia Donaldson (the Author) and her husband on You Tube and the children have explored the story further by using the story stuff spot. It has been great fun! The children learned about doubling- as they painted spotty ladybird doubles (up to 10) with Miss Newton. The children have been finding lots of ladybirds in the Nursery garden. The children have been told about the life cycle of a ladybird as well.
