Celebrating Children 2020-2021 - Nursery: Orange Class - Mrs Granger
June 21 - International Day
The Nursery class were asked to learn about the United Kingdom, for International Day 2021. So, we learned all about England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We looked at the flags of the different countries, then the Nursery children made their own flag designs, which were brilliant! The children also got to taste a food from each of the four countries. They had scones with jam for England, 'Bara Brith' (fruit bread) from Wales, scotch pancakes from Scotland and Soda bread with butter from Northern Ireland. The children loved tasting these. Then they chose their favourite one and we made a bar chart to show the results. The most popular food was scotch pancakes!
