Aut 23: History
Oak class really enjoyed their History lesson on Friday where they were learning about Athens having a democratic government. To help the children understand what a democracy is, we decided to have one in class! Children had to vote for sweets or chocolate… however, back in Ancient Greece, not everyone was allowed to vote!
Some children were representing slaves, women and foreigners, while others were male adults who were allowed to vote. We finished off the lesson by discussing how it made the children feel before everyone got a sweetie at the end.
