Speed Writing Ideas

Speed writing is designed to stimulate the brain before writing and develop stamina.
Some children are hesitant about writing and this helps to get the pencil on to the paper, in a fun way.
Creative Writing Ideas
Each activity should be done with a 2 or 5 minute timer
  1. 2 mins to write down as many things/words as you can think of that start with the letter... A, B, or C...etc
  2. Asking questions - What questions would you ask someone who had just been to the moon?
  3. Write down as many sweets and chocolates as you can think of in 2 mins
  4. What things would you buy if you won the lottery?
  5. Write as many colours as you can
  6. Write as many animals as you can
  7. Write as many jobs as you can
  8. What do you want to know about your teacher? Ask as many questions as you can
  9. Write as much as you can about your family in 5 mins
  10. Describe what you are wearing today in 5 mins
