Treats:
We do not allow cakes /sweets to be given out for childrens' birthdays. This is because we cannot guarantee the ingredients of these items and also to uphold our 'Healthy Schools' status.
There may be occasional cake sales at school where parents can make decisions about their child making a purchase. These are for fundraising purposes. In hotter weather, we occasionally sell ice lollies on the playground. Again parents are informed of this in advance and can make the choice for their child to bring in money.
It is important that children understand that treats should be eaten in moderation.

Water:
All children are encouraged to drink water throughout the school day. This is to promote healthy eating and to avoid sugary/fruity drinks spilling on books and children’s work. We will give all children a free, named, water bottle when we open but from then on in we will be selling them for £1.00 a bottle or 50p for a new top if you need one.
