Red Oaks Primary School
Challenge Partner report

Red Oaks Primary School is proud to be part of the national Challenge Partners programme through the De Curci Trust. This collaboration allows us to continually challenge ourselves and ensure our school improvement plans are leading the way, ultimately providing the best outcomes for our children.

Challenge Partners is a practitioner-led national network that enhances school performance through peer-to-peer challenge and knowledge sharing. Each year, our school undergoes a Quality Assurance (QA) Review conducted by senior leaders from other schools. This review focuses on teaching and learning, fostering deep conversations about the quality of education we provide.

Our dedicated team trained by Challenge Partners includes:
Mrs E Painter - Headteacher
Mr J Lee– Deputy Headteacher
Mrs S Smith – Assistant Headteacher & SENDCO
Mrs B Taylor – Pastoral Lead
Mrs M Jacques – KS2 Phase Leader and Curriculum Leader

Being part of Challenge Partners allows us to share best practices, learn from others, and reflect on our school improvement strategies. The professional dialogue and learning that occur during these reviews are invaluable, demonstrating our commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Area of Excellence: Mental Health and Wellbeing – wellbeing for all at the heart of everything we do.
We have created a very special culture where the mental health and wellbeing of children and adults is at the heart of teaching and learning, which gives all the best opportunities to learn. All staff have received extensive social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) and trauma-informed CPD. They are highly skilled in supporting pupils to manage and articulate their emotions and needs, in whatever ways help the young people to feel comfortable. If you are from a school and would like to visit to learn more about our approach, please get in touch with us!

Our most recent Challenge Partners Quality Assurance Review report can be found here.

We hope you find our site informative and interesting and welcome feedback at any time. If you would like to visit the school please do not hesitate to contact the school office any time. If you require paper copies of any information on our website, please ask at the office.
