Newsletters June onwards

15th July 2020
This has been a very strange couple of terms and we are very proud of how our Red Oaks community has pulled together. The children have all been amazing – those in school have shown great resilience and those at home have continued to engage so well with their teachers and school work. A huge thank you too to all our staff who have continued to provide the best they can for the children in these unusual circumstances.
We look forward to having all the children back in September as we have truly missed you all. Good luck to our Year 6 children who are moving on to secondary school and to those who are moving away from the area.

8th July 2020
Class Swap We hope you have all received the separate letter about your child's new teacher in September. We are hoping that a video of the teacher will be ready to show your child next week; we will send the link to these as soon as possible.
In September, we usually open our classrooms for you to meet the new teachers who also explains a few things you need to know for the new year. Unfortunately, we will be unable to do this so instead we will send another ‘Welcome’ video from the year group teachers. The links for these will be sent in September.

1st July 2020
We know you are all itching to know what the plans are for September, which children are coming in, where and what we can/can’t do etc. The Government have promised guidance this Friday, although if this is anything like the guidance we received when we re-opened for 1st June, this will need a LOT of working through...

24th June 2020
You will have all heard that at this stage the Government intention is for all children to return to school in September. As yet, we have not received any further guidance. When we do, we will be putting together a comprehensive plan and we will, of course, let you know this plan as soon as possible...

17th June 2020
We are so proud of the way the children are coming into school – lots of smiles and happy to learn! We would like to remind you that because we have small ‘bubbles’ operating (as per Government advice), if a teacher is off sick, we may have to close a bubble at short notice. There may also be occasions where 1:1 support is not available due to staff illness and again, we cannot swap adults around....

10th June 2020
Welcome back to those children who are now attending school, it has been lovely to see you all again. We are very much missing those of you who are still at home but we want you to remember that you are still an important part of our school community. We know it is difficult for some children to understand why they cannot attend when their friends or siblings are back at school and we hope the information at the end of the newsletter helps...
